Terms and conditions

The terms on which you may use the TIDES Mediation NI website and the services offered through it. Last updated 20 August 2026.

About these terms

Please read these terms carefully before using tidesmediationni.org, operated by TIDES Mediation NI (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Your access to and use of this website is conditional on your acceptance of these terms. They apply to everyone who visits or uses the site. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the site.

Using this website

You may use this site for your own information and to enquire about or book our services. You may not use it in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation, or that attempts to gain unauthorised access to it or to any system connected to it.

Booking training and services

Where you book a course or engage us for mediation, facilitation or consultancy, the booking is subject to the separate booking terms provided to you at the time, which cover payment, cancellation, transfers and any accreditation requirements.

Prices shown on this site may change without notice. A price is fixed once we have confirmed your booking in writing.

This site may link to websites and services that we do not own or control. We have no control over their content, privacy practices or policies, and we accept no responsibility for them.

A link is not an endorsement. We recommend you read the terms and privacy notice of any third-party site you visit.

Our content

The content of this site — text, images, course materials, models and frameworks — belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by copyright.

You may read it, and print or share individual pages for your own non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish or use our course materials to deliver training without our written permission.

Availability, and changes to the service

We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error free, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Nothing on this site is legal advice. Information about mediation, conflict or employment matters is general, and you should take your own advice on your own situation.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site or anything you rely on from it.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Suspension

We may suspend or withdraw access to the site immediately, without notice, where we consider it necessary — including where these terms have been breached.

Any provision that by its nature should survive will do so, including those covering ownership, disclaimers and limits of liability.

Changes to these terms

We may modify or replace these terms at any time. Where a change is significant we will give at least 30 days’ notice on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use the site after that means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Northern Ireland, and the courts of Northern Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
