What we actually are
We are a mediation development organisation. We run mediations and we deliver accredited training — but the wider purpose is to build the capacity of other people and organisations to handle conflict themselves, which is a slower and less visible business than simply taking the cases.
We work across the community, public and private sectors, locally and internationally. The commercial side funds the community side, which is why a family in a housing estate can get help without paying for it.
More about us
Our story
How two organisations with separate origins ended up doing the same work, and why they merged.
Our team
The mediators, trainers and board behind the organisation.
International work
Bosnia, Georgia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Sudan, Pakistan and beyond — plus a methodology of our own.
Work with us
Jobs, volunteering, internships, and joining our associate panel.
Northern Ireland exports very little peacebuilding methodology. We are one of the exceptions.
Why that matters
Dialogue for Peaceful Change was developed here and was delivered in Zimbabwe, Romania, Ghana, the United States and Canada. The experience runs in both directions — what we learn abroad comes back into the work we do on interfaces at home.
