What this course is
What citizenship and identity mean here, and how to hold a conversation about them without it going wrong.
Identity work in a Northern Ireland context. This belongs squarely in good relations practice, not corporate training.
What you will cover
Delivered against the OCN Northern Ireland unit specification. By the end of it you will have covered:
- Rights, responsibilities and citizenship
- British culture and identity
- The impact and the obstacles immigrants may encounter in the United Kingdom
- How identity is shaped by growth, change and diversity
Who it is for
Community and youth workers, volunteers, committee members and staff in organisations working across a divided place. No previous training is assumed.
This is qualification — an accredited qualification. You are assessed against the awarding body criteria and registered with OCN Northern Ireland.
